We strongly encourage you to take advantage of the Rental Protection Plan (RPP). The RPP is designed to provide you with significant peace of mind and financial protection during your equipment rental period. Here’s why it’s beneficial for you:
1. Reduced Financial Liability: If the equipment is accidentally damaged or lost, the RPP limits your responsibility to just 10% of the fair market value for lost equipment (up to $500 per item) and 10% of repair costs for accidental damage (up to $500 per item). This can save you substantial costs compared to being fully liable for the equipment’s value or repair costs.
2. Tire Repair Coverage: For tire repairs, you won't be responsible for excess charges over $50 per tire. This protects you from unexpected and often expensive tire repair bills.
3. No Rental Charges During Repairs: If repairs or replacements are needed, you won’t incur rental charges while the equipment is out of service. This ensures you are not paying for equipment you can’t use.
4. Clear Exclusions for Transparency: The RPP isn’t insurance, but rather a waiver of certain financial obligations to GFS Equipment Rentals. Exclusions include losses from intentional misuse, unreported theft, natural disasters, and items not covered by the RPP fee. If any exclusions apply, you remain fully liable.
